Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Test

When I was in high school I took a class that covered sociology, anthropology, and psychology. It was probably one of my favourite classes in all of high school, I even considered going to school for criminal psychology for a while. That was my chosen career path if I hadn't have become a chef!

That class was the first time I heard of the Myers-Briggs Type Theory Indicator Test. The easiest way to describe this test is that it measures the psychological differences between decision making and perception in different people. Everyone experiences moments in life differently, and this test asks a series of questions (i.e. rational vs logical) with four possible answers for each, selecting the position where you feel you best fit between the words. (If you would like to learn more about the Myer-Briggs Type Theory Indicator Test click here!)

After you have completed the questions, there are 16 possible combinations of extroverted, introverted, intuitive, sensing, feeling, thinking, perceiving, and judging. Here are my results:

ENFP - "Journalist". Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of total population.
Free Jung Word Choice Test (similar to MBTI)

Once you find out your type, you can click through to a list of personality traits and potential jobs. Here are a few that jumped out at me and how I felt they fit!

Outgoing: I'm always the first one to say hi in social settings, my friend even make fun of me for it. My trademark line is "Hi, I'm Becky!"
Easily talked into doing silly things: I'm pretty much always game for anything. Some of my fondest memories are someone talking about something crazy and me saying let's do it!!
Wild and crazy: You should see me party!
Physically affectionate: I'm such a hugger, and a cuddler. I love physical affection!
Likely to have or want a tattoo: Four going on five!
Prone to losing things: And breaking things... There's a curse on me I swear!
Seductive: Seductive Mania after all! (nudge nudge, wink wink)
Easily distracted: You seriously have no idea how many times I start a project and then get distracted and walk away and do something else and completely forget what I was doing. Ooops.

I thought the test was pretty accurate, and it's kinda cool to know I'm in 8.1% of the total population (in terms of my "type").

Try taking the test here! What personality type do you think you'll be? What type are you!?

Seductive Life: Autumn in Australia!

March marks the beginning of autumn in Australia (no one calls it fall here, so autumn it is!) and my oh my has it been an interesting month.

I did some super touristy things like...

Visiting the Bunker Cartoon Gallery in Coffs Harbour (Bunker = cool, lack of cartoons = lame)

and ice skating at the Big Banana!

We celebrated lots!

Like Trent's birthday <3

and St Patty's Day!

I also went out with a lot of friends...

Like Ozzie and Zana!

And Zana and Kelly!

Zana and I even joined a band!

I ate lots of sushi and sandwiches...

And I love taking pictures on walkways!

In Urunga...

And Dorrigo!

March has been amazing to me, and I'm sure April will not disappoint!!

Seductive Life Recap Part 2: Journey to AUSTRALIA!

So getting to Australia takes a long time. A LONG time. We arrived at the Toronto airport at 3:00pm on February 4th and didn't land in Brisbane until 12:30 on February 6th. We lost Tuesday!!

We had a lot of wait time in the airports, we flew from Toronto to LA, LA to Sydney, and Sydney to Brisbane.

This is on the long flight from LA to Sydney, we made ourselves miighty comfortable.

No furbees?!

On the flight from Sydney to Brisbane we met a nice man named Frank who told us all about his favorite places in Aus and gave us $20 to buy beers!

I even had to pee in the yucky airplane bathroom.

I love the view from the plane, so pretty :)

Griffo driving the luxy home!

Me and TJ in the back seat being goofs as always!

The cute couple reunited at last!

Seductive Life Recap Part 1: CUBA!

Wow, life has been pretty hectic in the past couple of weeks. And by hectic I mean in the best possible way!! I quit my job in the mountains, flew back home, vacationed in Cuba with my bestest friend and then hopped on another couple of planes and flew all the way over to my new home in AUSTRALIA!

I'm super beyond excited about living in Australia, but first be jealous of my awesome vacation in beautiful Cuba!

Due to the best mix up ever with the booking agency, we were upgraded to the beautiful Paradisus Princessa Del Mar in Veradero. Five stars, amazing pools and all inclusive. Although, for two single girls under 40, maybe not the ideal vacation spot but it suited our relaxed vacation needs just fine!

We spent almost every day either at the beach or by the pool except when it rained :( Even then we sat underneath the umbrellas and enjoyed the warmer weather! I may have sun burnt a little tiny bit but I used up 2 bottles of sunscreen... pale girl problems!

We had some really amazing street food in downtown Veradero. This giant plate of chicken, salad, two different kinds of rice and potatoes only cost 3 Pesos, or about $3.25 Canadian Dollars!! We followed the locals to see where they were eating and there was a line of about 30 people in front of this little street stand! Mmmmmmm can't stop thinking about it. So. Good.

We drank...

A lot. (World's biggest wine glass?! It was actually the size of my head!)

I had an amazing vacation with my amazing best friend!! I would tell you go go go and get your butt to Cuba!

19 Before 20

First of all - It isn't my birthday. And it isn't my birthday for another 108 days... unfortunately !

Second of all - I love the idea of ## before ## lists, and ever since grade nine, some good friends and I always made "summer lists", "first semester lists", etc. It was so much fun being able to check off the silly things we did together, and take pictures of them along the way.

So, I've decided that with one-hundred-and-eight-days until my 20th birthday, I'm going to make myself a 19 before 20 list. Whatchu gonna do about it!

Becky's (Belated) 19 Before 20 List!
  1. Move into my own space
  2. Travel to somewhere I've never been before
  3. 30x30 Remix (reloaded? Major fail so far, I'm thinking JUNE)
  4. Buy a car
  5. Get a camera
  6. Make a blog calendar
  7. Complete the Insanity workout program
  8. Make Momma's surprise bday present!!
  9. Mothers Day DIY feature
  10. Start "Project Life" and documenting everything I do
  11. Figure out how to stay connected with my friends
  12. Make an inspiration board
  13. Do more volunteer work
  14. Make The CupCapers "prototypes" at least 10 times
  15. Do something drastic with my hair
  16. Spend tons of time in the sun
  17. Read more books and less blogs (or just more books!)
  18. Get my record player fixed so I can put on girlie dresses and spin around like the records
  19. Be around (on the blog, silly) to post a 20 before 21 list!

Not too fancy, just a bunch of things I was (hopefully) going to get done in the next 108 days anyways! Lookout world - I have 19 things to do and no one's gonna stop me!
