The Next 22 Days...

Good morning!! If you follow my twitter, you'll know that my boyfriend has run away to Miami for 3 weeks! This means that I've been left to my own devices in Australia!

Now, Trent and I usually spend so much time together, I've been having a hard time trying to figure out what to do, so I decided to write a list of things I want to accomplish while he's gone!

1. Read The Storyteller by Jodi Piccoult

2. Go to the gym 4 times/week

3. Go to the beach at least once

4. Eat breakfast every morning

5. Keep track of my food intake

6. Don't eat any takeaway/fast food

7. Read Damned by Chuck Palahniuk

8. Catch up on Grey's Anatomy

9. Tweet at least 5x per day

10. Blog 4x per week

11. Adventure somewhere I haven't been before

12. Catch up on my scrapbook

13. Do at least 3 outfit posts

14. Spending Freeze! Do not buy anything I don't absolutely need!

15. Wear my hair down on every day off

16. Get my hair/eyebrows did

17. Get a mani/pedi

18. Sharpen my knives

19. Watch the Super Moon on the 23rd

20. Move all my music to my iPod

When I read blogs, I'm technically a terrible blogger. I don't usually comment, I don't enter a lot of giveaways, and I use Google Reader to read my blogs. So I'm not adding to any numbers, I'm not clicking on any ads, and when there are 60 updates in my feed every day, I'm not about to stroll over to every single page to say hi and check out the scenery. I'm much more important than that (just kidding) but my internet sucks enough already, I'm sorry I can't load your 24 individual buttons and complicated graphics, PLUS all of your instagram pictures and witty captions for every single one. 

All that bitching aside, I really do love a good blog template. I love complicated graphics, sweet headers, and every single one of your 24 individual buttons. I understand the time and effort put into making your blog look absolutely perfect. It's like decorating your house, except better because it's all easy and on the internet and stuff!

But it's actually not that easy. You know the feeling, you're trying to re-arrange your blog and something doesn't fit and that colour actually doesn't look right and why isn't that font the same as the other one?

DUN DUN DA DUUUUN!

Cue ShabbyBlogs.com. Seriously. Amazing.

Her site is full of FREE (that's right, bitches love free) blog things! Like a zillion and a half backgrounds, in regular and wide! There are "clip art," for lack of a better word (actually, they call them blog pretties), which totally blows that Microsoft Word shit right outta the water. It's like... the best kind of shoe store in the world except they don't sell shoes, they sell blog things, except they don't sell ANYTHING AT ALL! Because it's all FREE! So excellent.

And this stuff is high quality. Gorgeous. And if you're wondering how everything can be free, they claim it's the magic blogging fairies. Just kidding, they rely on sponsorship support, and the goodness of their hearts. But I'm still going with the magic blogging fairies because how else would everything look so magical?!

Life's Little Wisdoms

One of my biggest insecurities is people staring at me. Which doesn't make sense, at all. I love being the center of attention, I love public speaking, preforming, and generally capturing the attention of everyone around me.

Which is exactly why I need a blog - I talk too much!

But I read this quote, and it's completely true. No matter what I wear, what I do people are going to stare. They'll stare for me being too quiet, too loud, or too proud. Why not give them something to look at! Besides, if someone cares that much about how I look, they really don't matter, do they?

Lust List: Bathing Suit Search

It's getting to be that time of year again - bathing suit season! Until I started school, I pronounced bathing suit bay-wing suit. My parents thought it was adorable. And now they think it's a good story to bring up. All the time. In front of boyfriends.. and friends.. and anyone who will listen. 

But let's dive (hehe, see what I did there?) into summer with some cute bathing suits. The weather has been all over the place. It's been freaking me out - shorts one day, snow the next. Welcome to Canada my friends. Here's to summer sooner!!
