10 Colour Schemes For Your Blog! (And How to Use Them!)

It's blog makeover time here at Seductive Mania, but this time I'm taking more of a slow step by step approach and sharing my process with you!

One of the hardest things for me to do, is to decide on a colour scheme! (Yes, colour. I'm Canadian so suck it!) I know I like blues and peach colours, but I also like mustard and cranberry. There are so many shades and varieties it can be overwhelming, so here are a couple of colour combos I came up with that may help you with your blog design!!

I love lots of white space, fun but closer to neutral colours and rich red undertones. I think my favourites would have to be six and eight. To use any of these colour schemes, right click to save the picture, open it in Photoshop (even paint would work!) And use the eyedropper tool to determine the exact colour code!

I would suggest using the top 3 colours in your header/sidebar, and the bottom two shades as your primary background colours!

Build A Better Better Blog: Colour Inspiration Board

Lately I've been trying to find my "blog identity" and I've been scouring the internet for lovely pictures to create a colour story that feels more... me! I use Pinterest (it's super helpful, check out my board here) to pin a random snapshot of things I love! I pin clothes, food, infographics, photographs, typography, anything that inspires me. 

Here's a collection of images that inspire me! 

- I love the gold script with the wooden crates, the hard and soft is just adorable. 

- Chalkboards always amaze me so I know they need to fit somewhere into my colour story. 

- The feathers from this dream catcher are so perfectly whimsical and realistic, the rusty colour is my favourite!

- This black and white wedding dress is so super cute, I love the mixture of textures and simple black and white has always been my favourite.

- The caravan is so dreamy and romantic, I love the sunwashed look! (BTW, take a peek inside of it! sooo cute!)

- The colour story is all my own, it's a mix of story eight (found here) and a couple of new colours inspired by this board!!
